Minecolonies Medieval Style
#41
Hey i'm loving the look of this mod pack but i do have 2 issues.

1. It seems like quite a few of the buildings have the building block in a inaccesible place. Making giving my builders and other workers stuff quite a pain.

2. It seems like there were no placeholder blocks used making some of my buildings floating over huge holes, until i upgrade them to have the basement. But for level 1 and 2 its just a floating building that takes forever to be built.

If i'm doing something wrong i would really like to know, because i love the styles of this pack.

Hi! Im glad you enjoy my schems, but to help you out i need more information about what your issues.
1.- What buildings have their hut block innaccesible?
2.- Are you referring to the Medieval Oak TownHall? in that case, the first level doesnt have that basement space included to speed up the build time for the builder. I dont remember any other building having this too.

So Far i've used the Dark oak town hall, the Spruce Builder, and the Spruce hut. All 3 have problems with the placement of the building block. The builder dug like a 7 or 8 deep ditch that the building levitates over. I have no access to my town hall block and i had to replace the dirt outside the building due to floating fences. I'm testing the buildings on the official mod pack to make sure its not the mods i'm using. I'll edit if it seems like a user end issue.

Edit* Ok it does seem to just be a problem with the mod pack i'm using it seems to be running a Older version of the mod (1.10.2). It seems to be enough to throw it off despite having all the same placeholder block available. It works perfectly on the Official Mod pack.

Wonderful addition, only one thing so far which I find problematic: some schematics require grass blocks - but that's really hard to get by as mining grass block drops dirt blocks.

Hi! Im glad you like it, about grass blocks, dont worry, i believe the builder uses coarse dirt blocks to place grass blocks instead.

Hi. The images of these schematics look amazing! I was going to download them but my anti-malware program is blocking the links as it "is very likely to contain a Trojan". Just wondering if you have alternate download links?

Loving the styles of these builds! but for some reason when I order my builder to build/upgrade a building, some blocks aren't placed. even though the builder "completed" the build.. seems to be those white blocks with wood in different shapes across them. so instead I'm left with buildings which don't have any walls. I checked the screenshots of this forum and I noticed I'm missing these since I checked in the creative mode inventory, I'm really confused about this matter since I'm playing on the latest which in my understanding is 1.12.2.

The blocks with wood shapes must be the timber frame blocks.  This blocks were migrated from minecolonies mod to a dependency mod called structurize in lasts versions. Minecolonies delivers that automatically so you don need to download nothing. maybe the problem has to do with some schematics you have installed with the old block mapping.  You need to use the latest release of minecolonies in witch the mediaval style huts showed in this thread are included. My understading is that only medieval decorations need to be downloaded from here.

well, I simply pressed and downloaded the links under "Downloads for 1.12.2:". so perhaps there's something I missed?
Update: I downloaded the Structurize mod 1.12.2 and tried to place down a medieval spruce workers hut lvl 2 since I'm sure it includes the timber frame blocks in creative but still ignored to include them, thus I'm left with the open walls again.

I feel like I'm really missing something with adding the custom schematics. I'm running the modpack Life in the Village which has Minecolonies and Structurize in it. I don't have a "schematics" folder in my minecolonies folder, and extracting the zips to the minecolonies folder does nothing for me. To be fair, I'm actually pretty sick right now and it's totally possible I'm overlooking something really obvious because I'm just not at all here right now, but if someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind, I bumbled around for 15 minutes and somehow managed to make it work. I stuffed the schematics into a half dozen different folders and switched around some configs. Nothing seems broken, and since I run my modpacks with duct tape and glue anyways, it's all good. Sorry for the pointless post - but nice work on these structures!
